Job Summary

The Patient Access Representative II is a critical role at Boone Health, serving as the first point of contact for patients and their families. This position requires exceptional customer service skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Scheduling: Accurately register and schedule patients for hospital services, ensuring proper identification and verification of insurance information.
  • Insurance and Billing: Validate patient insurance coverage, collect demographic information, and process payments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Compliance and Regulatory: Ensure adherence to complex regulatory guidelines, including Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP), HIPAA Privacy Standards, and Patient Bill of Rights and Responsibilities.
  • Patient Communication: Provide clear and concise information to patients regarding their medical procedures, financial responsibilities, and other relevant details.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Experience: Less than 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting; 2-5 years of experience preferred.
  • Certifications: CHAA license/certification a plus.
