Job Description

Our faith-based, team-driven organization in Canton, GA, is seeking a Director of Human Resources to oversee talent acquisition, multi-entity management, safety and performance, and lead change initiatives to support ongoing growth. This strategic HR leader will report to the COO and work onsite with the potential for a hybrid schedule (one day remote) once established. There is minimal travel to other locations. You'll join a tenured, family-led leadership team, driving HR strategy and hands-on initiatives while building and leading the HR department. Ideal for someone who enjoys setting strategy, wearing multiple hats, and being hands-on.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides executive leadership, strategy, and tactical support for the Managing Partners.
  • Works with leadership to refine the organization's long-term mission and goals, while overseeing the areas outlined below.
  • Manages and administers HR systems and databases.

Talent Acquisition:

  • Manages and identifies innovative talent pipelines, including the Team Member referral program.
  • Standardizes and streamlines the interviewing and onboarding processes across all entities.

Talent Management:

  • Oversees the performance management process and program.
  • Addresses employee relations issues and supports programs for team member engagement.
  • Manages the offboarding process, including exit interviews, documentation, feedback, and turnover statistics.

Benefits and Compensation Administration:

  • Researches, develops, and implements competitive compensation, benefits, and compensation programs.
  • Manages relationships with external partners like benefits brokers, healthcare providers, and retirement consultants.

Human Resources Compliance:

  • Ensures compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations (e.g., EEO, FMLA, FLSA, ADA, HIPAA, OSHA).
  • Oversees required employee training on safety and regulatory standards, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of laws and best practices.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Microsoft Dynamics HR/Microsoft Talent system experience preferred.
  • At least ten years of human resource management experience is required.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in blue collar, manufacturing, or warehouse environments preferred.

Compensation: Starting salary of $135k, based on experience; includes PTO, comprehensive insurance benefits, and an additional 5 days of Mission Time annually, separate from PTO.
