Mortgage Assistant Job Description

At Education Credit Union, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mortgage Assistant to join our team. As a Mortgage Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional member support and ensuring the smooth operation of our mortgage team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional member support and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist the mortgage team with clerical and administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports, including loan applications, closing documents, and member information.
  • Coordinate with loan officers and other team members to ensure seamless communication and efficient processing of mortgage applications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior management, including special projects and tasks.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; mortgage or related experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with members, loan officers, and other team members.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business software applications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Working Conditions:

The Mortgage Assistant will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent interruptions and deadlines. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
