Key Responsibilities:

  • Under the guidance of department leaders, the Clinical Informatics Supervisor will:
  • Provide operational support to interdisciplinary teams to achieve high-quality patient care outcomes.
  • Lead the integration of clinical practices and applications, including nursing, provider, lab, radiology, and pharmacy systems.
  • Oversee clinical informatics staff and processes to encourage clinician utilization of EHR and clinical technologies.
  • Enhance communication and collaboration among clinical informatics staff and various stakeholders across the health system.
  • Utilize and analyze data to monitor clinical adoption, efficiency, and outcomes.
  • Ensure regular engagement with clinical informatics staff.
  • Align appropriate clinical informatics personnel for projects, go-lives, and end-user support.
  • Provide and supervise end-user training and support.
  • Engage with a diverse group of clinical and support staff, management, and physicians, demonstrating excellent communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • 2-5 years of RN clinical experience required.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Experience in informatics or performance improvement is essential.
  • Cerner experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to identify improvement opportunities and drive change.
  • Strong presentation skills for engaging with executives and chief clinicians.
  • Integrate nursing science, computer science, and information science to enhance patient care safety, quality, efficacy, and efficiency.
  • Support informatics staff in planning, coordinating, and implementing clinical technologies and workflows aligned with organizational goals.
  • Assist in testing related to clinical technology and application implementations.
  • Ensure representation of informatics staff on IT and clinical committees.
  • Facilitate the utilization and adoption of clinical technologies to support new clinical knowledge and innovation.
  • Act as a liaison between clinical end-users and information systems to identify technology needs and gather feedback.
  • Lead collaboration among clinical, IS, and operational leaders to ensure staff education and preparedness for new technologies.
  • Contribute to effective informatics team operations and resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify subject matter experts for projects.
  • Participate in enterprise-wide committees as a clinical IS representative.
