Job Overview

Express Employment Professionals is collaborating with a local manufacturing firm seeking to enhance their workforce by hiring a Human Resources Specialist. This pivotal role acts as the HRIS Administrator, providing essential support to all W2 employees throughout their employment journey. The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for meticulously reviewing and preparing biweekly payroll data, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow established safety protocols and training relevant to the position.
  • Work alongside various teams to facilitate recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and HRIS processing, ensuring adherence to HR standards for consistency and compliance.
  • Assist in the creation, updating, and archiving of important documents, including job descriptions and policies, while safeguarding sensitive information.
  • Maintain and organize employee files in accordance with compliance guidelines and regulations.
  • Prepare for audits by ensuring all documentation is readily available and organized.
  • Manage employee recognition processes and update them as necessary.
  • Conduct biweekly payroll verification and preparation, ensuring adherence to timekeeping protocols.
  • Support benefits administration and the annual enrollment process.
  • Coordinate training and continuing education schedules.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees at all levels, documenting interactions and escalating issues as needed.
  • Stay informed about HR trends, compliance, and labor laws.
  • Assist with front office tasks, including supply inventory and event planning.
  • Address employee concerns and collaborate with team leaders to resolve issues.
  • Update and maintain HRIS and related databases.
  • Oversee administrative staff and delegate tasks as necessary.
  • Document and report workplace incidents, ensuring timely communication with relevant parties.
  • Manage state unemployment documentation and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with HR-related state and federal requirements.
  • Travel locally for business purposes as required.
  • Oversee office supply management and ordering.
  • Participate in safety training as mandated.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Demonstrated experience as a trusted steward of sensitive information.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects and follow up effectively.
  • Familiarity with methodologies such as TPS, Six Sigma, or Lean is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in addressing challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Valid US driver's license is required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
