We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Manager to join our team at Recreational Equipment Inc. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for coaching and motivating our sales teams to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, identify, communicate, and delegate responsibilities to team members.
- Handle training, coaching, recognition, and performance management of sales team members.
- Direct the execution of our core standards and overall visual direction to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Drive sales through all channels by maximizing selling behaviors and adapting to changing market trends.
- Communicate key company strategies and changes to teams as needed to ensure alignment and understanding.
- Recruit and develop diverse talent from within and outside the organization to build a high-performing sales team.
- Inspire a customer-centric culture by recognizing and rewarding team members for their contributions.
- Develop top performers and evaluate performance, providing coaching and feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
- Build teams through effective employee development, involvement, and communication to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
- 3+ years of successful retail management experience, preferably in a similar industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with team members, customers, and stakeholders.
- Open to feedback and other viewpoints to support the business and drive growth.
- Ability to use business understanding, innovative thinking, and sound judgment to solve problems and make informed decisions.
- Proven track record of producing quality work by setting effective goals and establishing priorities.
- Organizational skills to meet deadlines and keep others informed about plans and progress.
- Engagement and influence skills to accomplish worthwhile organizational goals and drive results.
