BASIS Ed Texas is on the lookout for exceptional candidates to fill the role of Founding Head of Operations at our upcoming North Dallas campuses. This position will oversee essential operational functions critical to the success of our educational environment.

The Head of Operations will manage the Finance and Facilities departments at the school, which includes vendor selection and oversight, procurement and financial management, facilities upkeep, and technology integration. This role also acts as the primary human resources liaison, implementing initiatives designed by the central office. Collaboration with the Head of School is essential to ensure academic excellence and effective management of a small operations team.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • MBA or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial or procurement management
  • Minimum of 2 years in facilities management
  • Preferred experience in human resources functions
  • Background in education management or non-profit administration is advantageous

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operational aspects of the school, including security, IT systems, and inventory management
  • Manage the school’s budget and maintain accurate financial records in collaboration with the central office
  • Work closely with the Head of School on personnel decisions, including salary and benefits evaluations
  • Coordinate human resource activities for school staff in partnership with the central HR team
  • Research, assess, and manage contracts for school services such as maintenance and cleaning
  • Oversee procurement of educational materials and supplies
  • Solicit bids and create specifications for external contracts
  • Ensure the safety of staff and students through effective facility management and emergency preparedness
  • Supervise the front office and specialized support personnel
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all school assets
