Your Role

The Director of Employee Services is responsible for overseeing the support and service functions within the Crew Resources department. This pivotal role manages the Crew Support, Accommodations, and Background Check teams while also supervising the company’s charitable organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Crew Support, Accommodations, and Background Check teams, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Deliver exceptional service and support to crew members and restaurants, facilitating prompt responses to inquiries.
  • Evaluate high-risk scenarios and provide strategic guidance for effective resolutions.
  • Manage case handling for Accommodations and Background Check teams, ensuring timely and appropriate outcomes.
  • Monitor service request volumes, ensuring timely follow-ups and regular reporting to leadership.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for improvement, implementing necessary action plans.
  • Foster strong partnerships within the Restaurant Support Office and operational leadership.
  • Serve as an expert on employment laws, accommodations, and background checks at federal, state, and local levels.
  • Oversee the evolution of the Raising Cane's Crew Care Fund, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Continuously enhance tools, technology, processes, and communications to better support restaurant operations.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts with background check providers.
  • Undertake additional duties and projects as required.

Qualifications for Success

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources support within a large-scale, growth-oriented restaurant or retail organization.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience in human resources for large hourly non-exempt employee groups.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Preferred certifications include SHRM, PHR, or SPHR.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and urgency.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple shifting priorities.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and energetic with strong analytical and communication abilities.
  • Proven capability to influence and lead teams at all levels.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with efficiency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Word.
