Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources department, including greeting guests, administering benefits programs, and conducting enrollments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist associates with requests and information, and address concerns in a timely manner.
  • Assist in recruiting, screening, and interviewing for hotel positions, and schedule interviews and process related paperwork.
  • Create and update Human Resources bulletin boards and other posting locations as needed.
  • Distribute paychecks and maintain accurate and updated department and associate files.
  • Explain elements of various benefits to associates and assist with enrollment and claims processing.
  • Assist with associate relations events and recognition, as needed.
  • Process benefits enrollments and other functions electronically.
  • Monitor and update job requisitions, and communicate hotel job openings internally and externally.
  • Coordinate pre-selection activities, including drug testing and reference checks.
  • Process transfer requests and respond to interviewed applicants.
  • Assist in achieving goals and objectives as identified in the hotel's annual Affirmative Action Plan.
  • Control the administration of wages and benefits, and prepare correspondence and memos as needed.
  • Maintain applicant flow log/data, and ensure all new hires and existing associates possess proper employment eligibility verifications.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Hotel experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, and hospitality law.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and develop staff, and ability to set priorities, plan, organize, and delegate.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, and ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
