Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, including greeting internal and external guests, administering company benefits programs, and conducting enrollments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Support: Assist associates with requests and/or information, answer questions, and troubleshoot problems in a timely manner.
  • Recruitment and Hiring: Assist in recruiting, screening, and interviewing for all management and non-management hotel positions, and schedule interviews and process related paperwork.
  • HR Administration: Create and update Human Resources bulletin boards and other posting locations as needed, distribute paychecks, and maintain accurate and updated department and associate files.
  • Benefits Administration: Explain elements of various benefits to associates, assist with enrollment and claims processing, and process benefits enrollments and other functions electronically.
  • Associate Relations: Assist with associate relations events and recognition, such as the Associate of the Month program and Associate Anniversary Awards program.
  • Compliance: Monitor and update job requisitions, communicate hotel job openings internally and externally, and coordinate all pre-selection activities to ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Control the administration of wages and benefits to ensure accurate and equitable application, and analyze and apply information retrieved from moderately complex reports, manuals, and/or computer systems.
  • Correspondence and Reporting: Prepare correspondence and memos as needed, and maintain applicant flow log/data.
  • Employment Eligibility: Ensure all new hires and existing associates possess proper employment eligibility verifications.
  • Attendance and Availability: Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience: Hotel experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of hotel operations, leadership skills, written communication skills, ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
