Principal Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our electrical engineering practice, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex electrical engineering projects, developing and implementing strategic business plans, and providing technical leadership and expertise to our team.
Key Responsibilities- Business Development/Strategy
- Develop and execute strategic business plans to drive growth and revenue in the electrical engineering practice.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships to expand our market share.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement marketing strategies and campaigns.
- People and Practice Management
- Lead and manage a team of electrical engineers and designers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure their professional growth and development.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Manage and coordinate the recruitment and hiring process for electrical engineers and designers.
- Project Design and Delivery
- Lead and manage complex electrical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Develop and implement project management plans, including project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Technical Leadership
- Provide technical leadership and expertise to our team, staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
- Develop and implement technical standards and guidelines for electrical engineering projects.
- Collaborate with industry partners and stakeholders to advance the field of electrical engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a strong background in project management and leadership.
- Professional Engineering license required.
- Project Management Professional certification a plus.
- LEED AP credential preferred.
