Principal Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team at Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in San Diego, California.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for leading our electrical engineering practice in the San Diego area, providing technical expertise and strategic guidance to our clients and team members. This is a client-facing role that requires strong leadership, business development, and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities- Business Development/Strategy: Develop and execute strategic and tactical business and marketing plans for the electrical engineering practice in San Diego, aligning with business center, regional, and national practice goals.
- People and Practice Management: Hire, develop, grow, and lead a team of engineering project managers, engineers, designers, and production team members, ensuring technical excellence, delivery standards, and best practices.
- Project Design and Delivery: Work with project managers and subject matter experts to develop and deliver client drawings, specifications, presentations, reports, and other deliverables, successfully managing projects of significant scope, complexity, and revenue budget.
- Technical Leadership: Maintain awareness of operational, technical, or regulatory changes within electrical engineering and the AEC industry, disseminating knowledge to the team and firm, and integrating into existing processes and standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, plus 15 years of related professional experience.
- Professional Engineering license required.
- Project Management Professional certification a plus.
- LEED AP Credential preferred.
