Position Summary

We are currently seeking an IT Support Specialist to enhance our operational capabilities. This role is essential for our team and requires full onsite presence, with no remote work options available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely responses to technical support requests via phone, email, and service tickets, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Diagnose, research, and resolve information systems challenges.
  • Utilize help desk software and problem management databases effectively.
  • Educate employees on established policies and procedures.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff on the proper use of technical equipment.
  • Deliver technical and functional assistance to the internal user community.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Monitor server performance and perform hardware/software repairs as required.
  • Manage inventory of equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain comprehensive records related to equipment distribution and user accounts.
  • Assist in diagnosing network and telecommunications issues.
  • Refer hardware or software malfunctions to vendors for resolution.
  • Exhibit strong oral, written, and listening communication skills.
  • Document all work performed in the company’s help desk system accurately and promptly.
  • Occasionally travel to various company locations to address technical issues.
  • Engage in special projects and additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
  • Two to three years of relevant experience in a support or help desk role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with networking technologies and the ability to work across various platforms.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting PC and commercial software, including the MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to self-learn new software and technologies.
  • Experience in installing, configuring, and supporting PCs, printers, and peripherals.
  • Strong organizational skills and a sense of urgency.
  • Capability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
