Position Overview:
The Manager of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting will be instrumental in ensuring that the financial reporting practices of Top Stack adhere to the highest standards of precision and regulatory compliance. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of SEC guidelines, GAAP, and the intricacies involved in preparing a company for public trading.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the preparation and submission of all SEC documentation, including F1, 10-K, 10-Q, and other necessary regulatory filings.
  • Guarantee adherence to all applicable SEC and GAAP regulations.
  • Lead the adoption of new accounting standards and reporting obligations.
  • Establish and uphold strong internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Oversee the quarterly and annual financial statement closing processes.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate timely and effective audit procedures.
  • Provide expert technical accounting advice for complex transactions and new business ventures.
  • Assist in the formulation and evaluation of earnings announcements and other financial disclosures.
  • Support the finance team in mergers and acquisitions and the integration of new business units.
  • Design and conduct training sessions on SEC reporting and technical accounting for finance and accounting personnel.
  • Remain informed about updates in SEC regulations and GAAP to ensure continuous compliance.
  • Work in partnership with legal, finance, and operational teams to ensure cohesive and comprehensive financial reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA certification is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, encompassing both public accounting and industry roles.
  • In-depth experience in SEC reporting and technical accounting.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal control frameworks (knowledge of IFRS is advantageous).
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all organizational levels.
  • Experience in IPO preparation and execution is a plus.
  • Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools; familiarity with ERP systems (SAP) is beneficial.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Some international travel may be required (approximately 10%).
