Job Summary

As a Materials Engineering Technician in Training at Terracon, you will be responsible for performing field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials. This includes soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. You will communicate with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, and contractors regarding construction site requirements and testing results. Additionally, you will transport material samples to the laboratory for further testing and analysis, tabulate data, and submit reports to the project manager. You will also maintain equipment, vehicles, and work areas, and adhere to strict safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials
  • Communicate with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, and contractors
  • Transport material samples to the laboratory for further testing and analysis
  • Tabulate data and submit reports to the project manager
  • Maintain equipment, vehicles, and work areas

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history
