About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Materials Coordinator to join our team at Structural Component Systems, Inc. This is a critical role that requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review plans to identify material requirements and identify potential substitutions and value engineering opportunities.
  • Coordinate material issues with the project manager, purchasing, and sales staff as needed.
  • Convert loose material estimates into orders and maintain detailed records and reports of related job information.
  • Strive for efficient, accurate, and economical resolutions of customer service issues.
  • Review project documents for cost impact and work with management and peers to continually improve processes and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; AS/BS degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of wood construction estimating/coordinating experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of framing materials and practices, with a willingness to learn new products.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and work under tight deadlines.
  • Efficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, supporting company goals and objectives in a professional manner.
  • Estimating/design software experience, such as Mitek, Timberline, PlanSwift, or Epicor PE.
  • Experience in an ERP system, such as BisTrack or Agility.
Work Environment
