Job Overview:

The Hotel Front Desk Agent plays a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. This position is dedicated to providing exceptional service to enhance guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Warmly greet all guests and deliver outstanding service to guarantee their satisfaction.
  2. Comply with house rules, departmental policies, and safety regulations.
  3. Maintain clear communication with guests and management.
  4. Address or direct any guest inquiries or complaints to the appropriate department or manager.
  5. Handle cash transactions responsibly and professionally.
  6. Utilize problem-solving skills to effectively manage guest issues, questions, or concerns.
  7. Maintain an accurate cash bank and reconcile all transactions at the end of each shift.
  8. Operate the Front Desk system to process reservations efficiently.
  9. Effectively manage the room key card machine.
  10. Check guests into the system, establish credit, and provide accurate information.
  11. Distribute room keys and staff keys appropriately.
  12. Manage changes to guest room status, including room changes, early departures, and stay-overs.
  13. Complete and balance the Shift Audit at the end of the day.
  14. Check guests out of the hotel by reviewing their charges, collecting payments, and closing out room folios.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in keyboard usage and general computer operations.
  • Previous experience with credit card processing and cash handling is preferred.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor with a positive attitude.
  • Experience in a customer service role is advantageous.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and reach above shoulder level.
  • Competent in answering and transferring phone calls.
  • Familiarity with hotel amenities and services.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain composure and professionalism in all situations.
  • Knowledgeable about hotel services and operational hours.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and various shifts as needed.

Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other duties as assigned to support the overall operations of the resort.
