POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a Guest Services Representative at New York-New York, your primary responsibility will be to deliver exceptional customer service by ensuring smooth check-in and check-out processes. You will greet each visitor warmly and, by recognizing their individual needs and stories, create WOW moments and lasting memories that will be cherished long after their visit.
COMPENSATION: Starting at $19 per hour
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcoming Guests: Provide a friendly and memorable reception to guests, anticipating their needs and addressing any concerns in accordance with S.H.O.W. Service Basics.
- Room Management: Manage guest room check-ins and check-outs, including early and late arrivals/departures and walk-ins, ensuring a smooth and professional experience.
- Inquiry Response: Handle phone calls and promptly respond to guest inquiries, offering assistance and information to enhance their stay.
- Experience Improvement: Suggest room upgrades when available and promote M life enrollment and benefits to enrich the guest experience.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborate closely with Housekeeping and other departments to meet guest expectations and fulfill special requests.
- Financial Management: Ensure accurate posting of charges and credits, manage payments, handle cash and credit transactions, and balance all cash and cash equivalents following property cash handling procedures.
- Key Control: Manage and issue keys, maintaining the security, privacy, and confidentiality of all guests.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.
- Work Schedule: Must be available for varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Customer Service Skills: Proven ability to provide outstanding service and handle guest inquiries professionally.
- Cash Handling Experience: Proficient in managing cash transactions and accurately balancing cash drawers.
- POS System Proficiency: Skilled in using POS systems for transactions and reservations.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities for effective guest interactions.
- Attention to Detail: Accurate in managing guest accounts and verifying charges.
