Executive Culinary Director

The Sous Chef is a key member of the culinary team, responsible for providing leadership and direction to the kitchen staff. They work closely with the Executive Chef to drive the strategic direction of the Food and Beverage department, ensuring exceptional quality of food and maintaining high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and guidance to the culinary team, promoting a culture of respect and teamwork.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement menus, recipes, and food preparation methods.
- Oversee the planning, organization, and training of kitchen staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional service.
- Monitor and analyze kitchen costs, ensuring they are within budget and contributing to the restaurant's profitability.
- Develop and implement food safety and hygiene practices, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Recruit, train, and develop kitchen staff, promoting a positive and productive working environment.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless service and high standards of guest satisfaction.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a culinary leadership role.
- Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and food safety practices.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Basic understanding of health and safety, food hygiene, and employment legislation.
