About the Role:

As a CBRE Chief Building Engineer Supervisor, you will oversee the team responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing ongoing maintenance and repair operations for a facility, a campus, or a portfolio of buildings.

This position is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Staff Development: Track the training and development of staff, conduct performance evaluations, and provide coaching opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop, implement, and communicate preventive maintenance programs and safety procedure manuals to ensure the smooth operation of facilities.
  • Resource Allocation: Ensure that mechanics and technicians have the necessary information and materials to complete work activities in a high-quality and timely fashion.
  • Cost Estimation: Develop material and labor cost estimates for work orders, preventative maintenance activities, systems, and construction projects.
  • Budget Management: Establish and maintain budgets for facilities maintenance, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control.
  • Crisis Management: Respond to emergency situations and seek assistance when needed to minimize disruptions and ensure business continuity.
  • Process Improvement: Apply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives.
  • Expertise Development: Showcase expertise in own job discipline and in-depth knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function, and coach others to develop similar expertise.
  • Leadership: Lead by example, model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values, and influence others to adopt a different point of view when necessary.
  • Business Impact: Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams, working within functional policies that guide procedure and policy design.
