About the Business Technology Department:
The Business Technology (BSTEC) Department is an integral part of the Business Division, offering courses and programs that equip students with essential technical skills and knowledge for various business roles. The department actively engages with industry experts through advisory committee meetings, ensuring that the curriculum aligns with current employer needs.

Faculty members are expected to possess both academic qualifications and relevant professional experience, providing students with insights into contemporary workplace practices while mastering necessary skills.

Compensation Structure:
Salary is contingent upon the number of courses taught, initial placement, work experience, and assigned credits. The current compensation range per credit hour is $1,153.31 to $1,234.67.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver a variety of business technology courses tailored for students in the IBEST program (Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training);
  • Course content may include introductory keyboarding, basic 10-key skills, Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access), Windows 11, intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook, customer service principles, office management fundamentals, and career readiness;
  • Utilize Canvas for course development and management;
  • Teach courses that may include daytime hybrid and online formats;
  • Contribute to departmental and interdisciplinary curriculum development that responds to evolving technologies and meets the needs of a diverse student body.
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience; OR
  • Master's degree in a related discipline.
Additional Information:
