Medical Registrar Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Registrar Specialist to join our team at Rutland Regional Medical Center. This is an onsite position that requires accurate identification and pre-registration of patients in the hospital information system.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong knowledge of basic computer skills and Microsoft Windows desktop applications. They will also be detail-oriented and able to handle confidential information discreetly.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately identify and pre-register patients in the hospital information system.
- Ensure accurate records and timely billing for patients using our services.
- Utilize computerized information systems in a business setting.
- Provide exceptional customer service experience.
Requirements
- Highest level of education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience.
- Prior insurance-related experience is desirable.
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to apply experience and knowledge to train and assist lesser experienced registrars.
Salary Range
$16.60 - $24.65 per hour.
