Medical Data Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Data Specialist - Cancer Registry to join our team at Rutland Regional Medical Center.
As a key member of our cancer program, you will play a crucial role in identifying, collecting, and maintaining timely, accurate, and complete information about cancer diagnosed and/or treated within our facility. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring compliance with approved cancer programs as set forth by the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer (ACoS CoC). Additional responsibilities include assistance with cancer committee meetings and agenda, tumor board, cancer registry operations, data collection, quality management, and cancer data analysis/submission to the CoC, National Cancer Data Base (NCDB), State of Vermont, and other accrediting bodies.
Your analytical skills will enable you to analyze and report cancer data to ensure quality and promote growth and development within our regional cancer programs.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as health information management or a related life science.
- Prior medical office experience, preferably in a tumor registry setting.
- Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) certification is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Moderate Microsoft Office skills, with proficiency in keyboarding/data entry.
- Presentation skills to effectively communicate data insights to various stakeholders.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $30,500 - $45,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
