Position Overview

Catalyst Health Group is currently seeking an NCT/Phlebotomy Supervisor to oversee our laboratory personnel and ensure high standards of patient care and compliance. This role is essential in fostering a thriving community through dedicated primary care services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision: Lead and manage NCTs and Phlebotomy Technicians across multiple locations within the district.
  • Staff Management: Handle laboratory staffing, including recruitment, selection, and training in collaboration with Human Resources.
  • Leadership: Provide guidance to laboratory staff, focusing on performance management, employee engagement, and professional development.
  • Operational Efficiency: Ensure smooth departmental operations, maintaining quality control and compliance with regulations.
  • System Oversight: Verify that all EMR/EHR systems contain accurate testing information and that laboratory software supports effective workflow.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in committees and educational opportunities to stay updated on laboratory practices.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain appropriate levels of laboratory supplies and equipment, including ordering necessary items.
  • Process Enhancement: Identify and implement strategies to improve practice efficiency and productivity.
  • Quality Assurance: Promote adherence to clinical quality metrics.
  • Patient Care: Follow AIDET guidelines, ensuring a patient-centered approach in all interactions.
  • Issue Resolution: Address patient concerns promptly while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and organizational policies.
  • Commitment to upholding HIPAA/PHI standards.
  • Dependable and punctual for scheduled shifts.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • NCT or LMRT certification is mandatory.
  • CPT certification is required.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a minimum of 5 years in a healthcare setting, including 5 years in a leadership capacity.

Physical Requirements:

  • Office environment with the ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 8 hours daily.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
