Job Summary and Qualifications:

The Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) ensures and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care while coordinating all functions within the unit/department during the designated shift.

In collaboration with other management team members, the CNL directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies a commitment to the organization's vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that enhance overall departmental performance.


Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.

- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other management team members.

- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to foster a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes and service.

- Uphold a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.

- Support the facility's efforts to enhance engagement by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.

- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.

- Recommend and implement courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively superior organization.

- Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course certification must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse license.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course or Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree.
