Jewelry Technical Sales Associate - Customer Support Center

The Opportunity:

At Rio Grande, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional service, fostering enduring customer relationships, and empowering our team members to actively contribute to our operations. Our mission is to support jewelers, metalsmiths, and artisans by simplifying their tasks and enhancing their experience with innovative solutions, outstanding service, and expert knowledge. This is a full-time role available Monday through Friday, with an eight-hour shift scheduled between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

What You'll Do:

Respond to incoming calls in a compact call center environment, providing consultative sales and initial jewelry technical assistance to each client.

Engage with customers through phone, chat, and email to identify their needs and determine how our products and services can best fulfill those requirements.

Assist customers by addressing inquiries related to jewelry products or processes, enabling them to make well-informed purchasing decisions.

Manage customer interactions in a courteous and professional manner to ensure a superior customer service experience.

Communicate the advantages of loyalty and marketing initiatives to customers.

Oversee sales opportunities from initial quote to final closure.

Contribute to business growth by offering customers suggestions and solutions related to jewelry products and processes.

Process customer orders efficiently.

Resolve customer service challenges while balancing the interests of both the company and the client.

Collaborate with colleagues and the Rio Jewelry Tech team to propose and implement process enhancements.

Participate in ongoing training opportunities related to jewelry-making products, processes, techniques, consultative sales training, and cultural education.

What You'll Need:

Experience in sales and customer service, coupled with a commitment to exceeding customer expectations and helping them expand their businesses. Additional qualifications include:

  • A minimum of one year of experience with jewelry products and processes.
  • At least one year of sales experience, with a focus on customer success.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to manage oneself and others in a collaborative management environment.
  • A proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Capability to gather and analyze information to swiftly identify customer issues and communicate effective solutions.
  • A passion for learning and applying new jewelry technology skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities; bilingual in Spanish is advantageous.
  • Experience with jewelry bench skills is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in a Windows/Microsoft Office environment and internet navigation skills.
  • Typing skills of 35 WPM; proficiency in 10-key is preferred.
