KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive the expansion and market share of designated product categories through strategic sales initiatives with targeted clients, both independently and in collaboration with Territory Managers.
- Offer in-depth product knowledge and sales assistance across all facets of the category, including promotional strategies, product details, recommended pricing, competitive analysis, and menu suggestions aimed at maximizing market penetration and achieving growth targets.
- Monitor and enhance key performance indicators (KPIs) across fresh product categories, including sales growth, category penetration, and feedback from Territory Managers; collaborate with TMs to optimize product selections, order guides, and pricing strategies for new clientele.
- Facilitate category-specific product conversion initiatives and identify new sales opportunities based on product profitability, features, and advantages.
- Support Territory Managers in onboarding new high-potential accounts; accompany TMs on visits to these accounts to provide specialized product insights. Conduct training sessions for TMs, emphasizing top priority penetration strategies and utilizing hands-on product demonstrations and printed resources during sales meetings and field visits.
- Create and deliver effective sales presentations and training materials in partnership with Category Management and Training departments.
- Showcase product applications and menu ideas at market and customer locations, offering expert consultation on key product attributes, benefits, and preparation methods.
- Contribute to category growth by gathering and sharing market intelligence and customer insights regarding product offerings, pricing, trends, and innovations; provide feedback for marketing materials and assist Category Management with sourcing and inventory needs.
- Promote tailored business solutions to key clients, facilitating a seamless transition to the Business Solutions team for potential leads.
- Address product inquiries from Territory Managers via phone or email as needed.
- Provide limited assistance to TMs in selling activities for non-prioritized opportunities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in either COP or Produce categories with extensive product knowledge.
- Willingness to learn about the other category to effectively represent both COP and Produce.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal, presentation, and training abilities.
- Up to 25% travel required.

- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
