Job Title: Technical Sales Representative

At DGI Supply, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Sales Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our customer base in the industrial and MRO sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue growth and expand our customer base
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and identify new business opportunities
  • Utilize consultative selling techniques to offer solutions that meet customer needs and drive sales growth
  • Research and generate new leads through targeted prospecting activities, including cold calling and customer referrals
  • Present and demonstrate product features and benefits to customers
  • Identify and document productivity gains and cost savings opportunities for customers
  • Cultivate and maintain solid relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Assist and resolve customer requests and/or problems in a prompt and professional manner
  • Organize and conduct training sessions for customers and introduce new products
  • Report competitive conditions, customer financial weakness, and customer feedback to management
  • Work closely with suppliers to secure mutual business through joint sales calls
  • Attend sales, product, and other branch/company meetings
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' outside sales experience in the industrial or MRO sector
  • Strong business acumen and proven track record in meeting sales goals and expanding sales within active accounts
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet aggressive deadlines, and execute on agreed-upon sales metrics
  • Automated Procurement Systems experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve problems and develop action plans
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including presenting and negotiating skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel often in the assigned territory
  • Passionate, adaptable, customer-focused, and teamwork-oriented
  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2- or 4-year college degree preferred
