Position Overview:
In this role, you will spearhead the biomolecular analysis to facilitate platform innovation and ensure product quality control. Your primary focus will be on the development of bioanalytical assays to evaluate mRNA integrity, capping efficiency, modifications, lipid nanoparticle profiles, and more. Proficiency in HPLC and Mass Spectrometry is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development of HPLC-based assays for assessing mRNA purity and integrity.
- Characterization of mRNA capping efficiency.
- Analysis of mRNA polyA tail using HPLC methodologies.
- Evaluation of mRNA integrity post-formulation.
- Utilization of HPLC/MS techniques to analyze lipid composition.
- Creation of analytical tools to assess the long-term stability of drug products.
- Development and documentation of analytical assays for technology transfer with contract development and manufacturing organizations.
- Conduct preliminary data analysis and interpretation.
- Adhere to strict project timelines for assigned tasks.
- Present findings in various internal group meetings.
- Support additional preclinical projects as required.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or M.S. in analytical chemistry, biology, or a related field.
- Experience ranging from 0-3 years (Scientist), 4-6 years (Senior Scientist), or 6-8+ years (Principal Scientist) in bioanalytical roles within the industry.
- Extensive background in HPLC, mass spectrometry, and other analytical methodologies.
- Experience with technology transfer processes involving contract development and manufacturing organizations is highly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, self-driven, collaborative, and capable of independent work.
- Meticulous attention to detail complemented by excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to creatively tackle complex challenges and devise innovative solutions.
