Senior Research Scientist

Eli Lilly and Company is seeking a highly skilled Principal Scientist to join our team in Cambridge, MA. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for formulating and characterizing novel nucleic acid delivery constructs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate nucleic acid delivery constructs and optimize related protocols
- Troubleshoot experimental issues and visualize, summarize, and present results to team members
- Apply a systematic and rigorous approach to scientific research and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Provide formal and informal mentorship and training to junior colleagues
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- 3 years of academic or employment experience with evaluation and characterization techniques from cell and tissue samples
- Experience with in vitro characterization techniques, including cell culture and cell transfection
- Experience with in vitro/vivo endpoint analysis, including ELISA and qPCR
- Experience with immunohistochemistry and in vivo techniques, tissue collection, and molecular endpoints on tissue samples
- Experience with the formulation and analytical characterization of nucleic acids and nucleic acid-loaded nanoparticles
- Experience with DLS, SEC, and Ribogreen
- Experience with optimization of protocols for formulation of nucleic acid delivery constructs
