Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist, Biomolecular Analysis Specialist to join our team at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for driving the biomolecular characterization to support platform development as well as product QC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HPLC-based assays for mRNA purity, integrity, and capping efficiency characterization.
  • Analyze mRNA polyA tail analysis using HPLC methods and mRNA integrity analysis after formulation.
  • Develop and optimize HPLC/MS-based methods to analyze lipid composition and characterize long-term stability of drug products.
  • Design and develop analytical tool kits to characterize mRNA integrity and lipid composition.
  • Collaborate with CDMO partners to develop and transfer analytical assays.
  • Present data and results to internal stakeholders and contribute to the development of innovative therapies.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. or M.S. in analytical chemistry, biology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 0-3 years (Scientist), 4-6 years (Senior scientist), 6-8+ years (Principal Scientist) of bioanalytical experience in industry.
  • Extensive experience in HPLC, mass spec, and other analytical tools.
  • Experience in tech transfer with CDMO is highly preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to work independently.
