Electro-Mechanical Assembler

POSITION SUMMARY:
The role involves assembling electro-mechanical products utilized in diverse customer applications by adhering to manufacturing protocols, method sheets, engineering schematics, and engineers' bills of materials, along with other technical documentation.
This position entails preparing sub-assemblies, final assemblies, and both electronic and mechanical components in their entirety.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate under the general guidance of the department supervisor or cell leader with minimal supervision, following established processes and procedures. Assemble individual electro-mechanical components as required, utilizing manual control of components during operations.
Tasks may include washing components in solutions, conducting pressure tests, or performing manual repairs. Work from technical drawings, blueprints, sketches, verbal or written instructions, work orders, and process sheets. Execute material handling procedures for work order processing and inventory maintenance. Acquire parts and materials as directed or as necessary to fulfill material handling procedures. Prepare completed work for shipment or storage as instructed. Perform alignment or adjustments manually using various specialized hand tools until precise specifications are achieved. Report defective materials, scrap, production issues, or any unusual conditions to the supervisor immediately. Maintain personal production and quality standards as determined by supervision.Accountable for product quality and production output - work must be inspected to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards before, during, and after completion. Report defects, scrap, and/or production issues immediately to the Cell Leader or Supervisor. Maintain records and other relevant data as required.
Adhere to standard practices and procedures as outlined by policy. Follow all safety regulations.Keep the work area clean and organized. Cross-train and assist in other assembly areas as needed. Perform similar and other related duties as instructed.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required; one to three years of manufacturing experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Versatility is essential to perform various assembly and soldering operations manually. Reasonable dexterity in hands is necessary to manipulate small components.Ability to read blueprints is required. Additional Characteristics:
This position functions both as an individual contributor and within a team environment. The role requires the ability to lift 20-50 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs. frequently, and up to 10 lbs. constantly.
This position may involve standing and/or sitting for extended periods, up to 8 hours per day. Good manual dexterity and visual acuity are required. The role will necessitate the use of various equipment, including hand tools and calibrated measuring instruments, such as:
calipers, plug gauges, drop indicators, force gauges, torque measuring screwdrivers, oscilloscopes, dial gauges, torque wrenches, micrometers, and specially designed PMT manufacturing measuring equipment.
This position may expose the individual to various industrial cleaning chemicals and oils.Pay Rate:
$16 to $17 per hour
Pay Details:
$16.00 to $17.00 per hour.
