T. We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to add to our team. Candidates with experience in foreign countries or foreign languages are preferable but not necessary. Candidate must be able to communicate ideas and concepts.


This position has room for advancement and requires multi-disciplined talents in various fields such as mechanical design, hydraulics, control systems, programming, stress analysis, and project management. Applicant must be fluent in AutoCAD 2D design as well as Inventor 3D modelling. We stress capability for heavy machine design specifically for both production machine design as well as research and development activities. This position includes the opportunity to travel both domestically and internationally after a training period as required.

 

  • Technical Responsibilities:

1. Production drawing work efforts to develop a comprehensive set of layout, assembly, and detail drawings.

2. Foundation design – static and dynamic workloads.

3. Hydraulic design.

4. Installation / trouble shooting of equipment at customer facilities.

5. Design calculations as required to support drawing room personnel.

6. Product / prototype development.

 

  • Administrative Responsibilities:

1. Assist sales department with project scheduling and quoting.

2. Coordinate between mechanical design department and outside vendors.

3. Assist in the maintenance of drawing/design standards.

4. Oversee design / detailing staff to ensure accurate and on-time delivery of designs.

 

  • Qualifications:

1. BS/MS in mechanical engineering.

2. Must have at least 2-5 years of experience.

3. Strong analytical and organizational skills.

4. Experience with Autodesk Inventor is highly necessary.

5. Mechanical design and steel industry experience are also a plus.

6. The successful candidate must possess excellent written and communications skills, and must be capable of working under minimal supervision.

7. Periodic travel and hands-on work will be required.


Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 /year
