Job Title: Lead Human Resources Business Partner at USPS Training Center

Overview: Are you an experienced HR leader ready to embrace a dynamic and fulfilling position? We invite you to consider the role of Lead Human Resources Business Partner at the USPS Training Center. In this pivotal position, you will oversee daily HR functions while delivering strategic support to the faculty and staff at the training center. As an integral member of the HR team, your contributions will be vital in areas such as employee relations, performance oversight, conflict mediation, and resolution of workplace issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a reliable advisor and expert in human resources
  • Provide guidance on conflict mediation
  • Deliver confidential assistance to management
  • Conduct preliminary evaluations of employee relations matters
  • Design and implement training initiatives for staff and management
  • Engage with various internal partners
  • Support policy updates and strategic initiatives
  • Participate in HR organizational committees

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree required

  • At least 36 months of HR experience focused on Employee Relations

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other document collaboration tools
  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities
  • Comprehensive understanding of employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent analytical and organizational capabilities
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and communicate effectively

Certifications:

  • Possession of active USPS Security Clearance within 90 days

Physical Requirements:

  • Capacity to perform repetitive tasks
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods

Department Preferences:

  • 60+ months of advanced HR experience
  • Prior experience with OU and positive disciplinary practices
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft and/or Cornerstone systems
  • Experience collaborating with Talent Recruiting Vendors
