Top Medical Talent is proud to represent a leading diagnostic, research, and training laboratory seeking a Molecular Laboratory Specialist to join its growing team.

Position Overview:

As a vital member of our laboratory, you will contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional testing services and advancing research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Laboratory Operations: Collaborate with the Laboratory Supervisor to ensure the smooth functioning of the laboratory, including the upkeep of equipment and inventory management.
  • Support for Testing Teams: Provide essential assistance to testing personnel, including involvement in proficiency and competency assessments, as well as training initiatives.
  • Documentation Assistance: Aid the Laboratory Supervisor in creating and maintaining CLIA documentation for the validation and verification of testing systems.
  • Data Evaluation: Participate in the assessment of laboratory data, including quality control, validation, and proficiency testing metrics.
  • Quality Assurance Participation: Engage actively in the Quality Systems Management Program to uphold the highest standards of testing and safety.
  • Safety Compliance: Contribute to the Laboratory Safety Programs to ensure a secure working environment for all personnel.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Maintain compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and accreditation requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Analyze and implement strategies for enhancing laboratory services and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology or Medical Laboratory Science.
  • Experience in a molecular biology laboratory environment.
  • Understanding of CLIA laboratory operations and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficiency in molecular biology methodologies.
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a high-complexity clinical laboratory.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MLS (ASCP) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience in technical writing, including grant proposals.
  • Familiarity with CO2 incubators.
Compensation and Work Schedule:
  • Salary based on education and experience.
  • Standard work hours: Monday to Friday, first shift.
