Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Financial Aid to join our team at Attain Partners. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing our financial aid operations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and direct a third-party servicer's accurate and timely completion of tasks for key loan projects, including awarding and packaging, C-code verification, and conflicting information resolutions.
  • Delegate and direct the preparation of financial reports and regularly audit financial aid procedures, practices, documents, and operations to ensure compliance and best administer financial aid.
  • Lead and develop events, including financial literacy sessions, loan exit counseling, graduation and orientation, and recruitment events.
  • Manage private loan process, including certification, award eligibility determination, and reconciliation.
  • Participate in required reporting, including IPEDS, regulatory, and accreditation boards.
  • Manage Veteran's Affairs funding and identify areas of weakness, initiating corrective action, including developing new processes, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of financial aid awarding experience preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of federal financial aid and cash management regulations.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, while maintaining composure and discretion.
  • Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the capacity to work cooperatively with a wide range of individuals.
Compensation

Individual base salary for this position is unique to each candidate and will be commensurate with experience, education, and skills, ranging between $80,000 - $100,000. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
