Job Summary for Operations Manager

Oversee, train, and manage technicians delivering cleaning and restoration services, including carpet, floor, and tile cleaning, as well as water damage, fire/smoke, and mold remediation. Ensure efficient, profitable service delivery while upholding the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Manage daily operations encompassing job estimation, staffing, scheduling, invoicing, job costing, documentation, technician training, inventory management, and equipment upkeep. As needed, perform cleaning and restoration tasks for clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train, supervise, and engage with staff and contractors to foster professional growth.
  • Manage daily operations with guidance from senior management, including job estimation, costing, staffing, scheduling, and technician training.
  • Ensure timely and professional delivery of high-quality services in line with company and industry standards.
  • Maintain strategic partnerships with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Build trust-based relationships with clients to enhance brand recognition and reputation.
  • Provide accurate information and professional advice to clients regarding necessary services, costs, and scheduling.
  • Meet or exceed company targets for costs, job pricing, and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan and execute projects, write estimates, and coordinate subcontractor inputs.
  • Ensure smooth documentation flow from job sites to administration.
  • Coordinate technician and labor resource planning.
  • Track equipment usage and manage material orders for projects.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and third parties.
  • Conduct property inspections and compile reports.
  • Maintain organized project files.
  • Perform production work as needed.
Qualifications for Project Manager
  • High school diploma (or GED) with three to five years of relevant industry experience in managing restoration projects and supervising teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of building construction and restoration preferred.
  • Proficient technical skills and certifications in relevant service areas, including at least three of the following: Water Restoration Technician (WRT), Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD), Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT), Anti-Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT), Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT), Mold Remediation Specialist (MRS), Trauma & Crime Scene Technician (TCST).
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including proficiency in industry-specific software.
  • Strong math and financial skills for budgeting and project planning.
  • Ability to receive feedback and provide timely responses to clients and staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
