Job Summary

Vulcan Materials Company is seeking an experienced Electrical Operations Supervisor to oversee the electrical maintenance program for the Georgia market. This role involves supervising and directing electricians and helpers, coordinating with the Engineering Department and Operations Managers on new electrical projects and modifications, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign duties for installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment, including motors, generators, switches, control panels, circuit breakers, electric safety devices, resistors, electro-magnets, motor drives, transformers, magnetic breaks, starters, etc.
  • Prepare diagrams or sketches for work to be performed, and recommend design changes as needed.
  • Troubleshoot electrical power issues and prepare and coordinate plans, supplies, and crews to resolve issues.
  • Devise electrical circuits involving solenoids, switches, resistors, relays, and other advanced equipment.
  • Conduct CEM Training and ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
Requirements
  • Minimal five years of electrical experience, trade, or college degree.
  • Supervisory experience, extensive electrical skills, and knowledge necessary.
  • Unrestricted Electrical License in the State of GA preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical codes, plant and electrical equipment, electric shop mathematics, and electrical equipment used in the plant and on locomotives, power shovels, and other operating equipment.
