About the Role

We're seeking a high-performing student to join our Finance Leadership Development Program as an intern. This 10-week experience will provide you with the opportunity to develop critical leadership and functional skills in areas such as financial planning and analysis, management reporting, financial reporting, and investment accounting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in a challenging assignment in the Finance organization
  • Contribute to a capstone team project outside of assignment domain, partnering with other interns to research and present
  • Develop core competency in required corporate skills
  • Receive coaching, mentoring, evaluation, and feedback
  • Gain access to future early career opportunities, including full-time rotational programs
Requirements
  • Expected to graduate prior to August 2026 with a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Insurance Risk, and Business Analytics majors
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher at graduation
  • Record of high achievement, analytical thinking, initiative, and process improvement
  • Strong communication, change agility, and team skills
  • Data analytics and financial modeling coursework a plus
  • Leadership experience outside of the classroom
What We Offer

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency, and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
