We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our Leadership Development Program as a Systems Engineer. This is a two-year rotational program that provides challenging opportunities via short-term work assignments across the enterprise as you move to locations around the U.S.A.
About the Program
Our Leadership Development Program is designed for internal RTX interns/co-ops, and external entry-level professionals looking to create value and grow their career at RTX. The program provides high-caliber training, mentoring, and guidance from RTX leaders, current, and alumni LDPs to build a strong lasting global network. Upon program completion, LDP graduates possess a solid platform of skills and experiences to launch a successful RTX career and receive continued mentorship.
Responsibilities
As a Systems Engineer in our Leadership Development Program, you will be responsible for the development of system models for one or more engine programs. You will also be involved in Pratt & Whitney's digital transformation initiatives and be a contributor to standard work development. Your responsibilities will be commensurate with your background, experience, and education. You will work closely with team leads, team members, and other teams (Software and Hardware) on a daily basis and provide task progress status updates. You will also participate in customer and/or internal technical reviews throughout the product lifecycle. You will ensure consistent application of engineering best practices and comply with EDSI standard processes.
Requirements
To be eligible for this program, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering: Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Systems Engineering, or Hard Sciences: Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, or Computer Science, or other related discipline. You must have obtained your degree between December and May 30, 2025. You must also have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance. A cumulative 3.0 GPA is required. We prefer candidates with a degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, experience with systems engineering principles, concepts, and techniques, experience using a SysML modeling tool, such as IBM Rhapsody, Cameo/MagicDraw, or equivalent, and experience with Agile development processes.
