POSITION SUMMARY:

The Escrow Operations Manager will oversee the effective and efficient functioning of the escrow operations team. This includes, but is not limited to, managing escrow processes, conducting escrow assessments, overseeing real estate tax management, property insurance oversight, loss draft processing, and mortgage insurance supervision. The individual will collaborate with various servicing departments to establish a new mortgage servicing entity, as directed by the Vice President of Servicing Financials. This role requires an industry expert with substantial experience and knowledge in escrow operations and administration related to mortgage servicing. The candidate is expected to foster the development and maintenance of secure, automated, and efficient escrow operations. Additionally, they will manage and evaluate the vendors and third parties involved in these processes. This individual will also be responsible for training, staffing, and performance management of their operational teams. The role entails ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, optimizing operational workflows, leading a team of escrow servicing professionals, and working with other departments to provide outstanding service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Assisting in the design, development, and upkeep of the escrow operations framework, including servicing systems, training materials, and procedural documentation.
  • Evaluating and implementing technological solutions to enhance the efficiency of escrow servicing processes and improve data accuracy.
  • Leading and managing the escrow servicing team, offering guidance, support, and opportunities for professional growth.
  • Creating a diverse, passionate, and engaged workforce, both on-site and remotely.
  • Coordinating the development of escrow administration operations, which includes the creation and documentation of operational workflows.
  • Ensuring compliance with state, federal, regulatory, and investor requirements and guidelines, maintaining current knowledge of internal policies and procedures, and understanding how changes in requirements impact operations.
  • Managing oversight programs that monitor the performance of vendors and third parties involved in the processes.
  • Meeting established standards and guidelines regarding compliance, job knowledge, quality, attendance, efficiency, initiative, and overall performance.
  • Overseeing the daily performance of the escrow servicing team, ensuring that key performance metrics are met or exceeded within budget.
  • Championing change and improvements across the escrow administration operation, influencing future initiatives to support and achieve operational enhancements.
  • Undertaking additional projects and assignments as required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience in leading comprehensive escrow administration operations and managing multiple verticals.

• In-depth knowledge of escrow processes, industry standards, and consumer protection laws and regulations affecting escrow operations.

• Ability to have a cross-functional impact across the servicing operation.

• Experience in navigating high-risk examinations and issue remediation efforts.

• Highly organized, reliable, and results-oriented.

• Willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and call center software programs.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong leadership abilities to motivate and guide a growing service operation.

• Capability to engage with managers and associates to achieve organizational goals and objectives.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.

• Commitment to excellence and high standards.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Standard office environment, involving tasks at a computer terminal. This position requires a combination of sitting and walking throughout the day. The employee must be willing to work overtime to complete assigned tasks.
