ROLE SUMMARY

The Youth Care Worker plays a vital role in the active engagement of unaccompanied minors (UC's), focusing on fulfilling their developmental, cultural, and care requirements. This includes overseeing their daily activities, participating in program initiatives, supporting the UC's individual case plans, and fostering their personal growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure a secure environment for UC's.
  • Provide constant supervision of children to meet ratio requirements.
  • Facilitate new and stimulating opportunities for personal development.
  • Encourage and assist children in acquiring skills for independence.
  • Engage clients in educational and social activities.
  • Promote community access and integration.
  • Maintain necessary documentation, logs, and reporting standards.
  • Collaborate with fellow Youth Care Workers and supervisors to ensure a safe and healthy atmosphere for the UC.
  • Follow the Case Plan for assigned UC with guidance from Caseworkers and/or supervisors.
  • Support culturally relevant activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED equivalent; 12 months of experience working with youth; valid driver's license and proficiency in MS Office 365.

Bilingual in English and Spanish.
