Card Service Representative

The Card Services Representative plays a crucial role in understanding our card offerings and managing any fraudulent activities that may arise. This position requires maintaining a comprehensive understanding of all card products available to our customers while identifying potential opportunities across our range of services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and effective customer service via phone and chat.
  • Guide customers on maximizing the benefits of their current services while identifying opportunities for cross-promotion of additional products that align with their financial goals.
  • Exhibit thorough knowledge of all accounts, products, and services offered.
  • Assist customers with all account-related inquiries and service needs through phone or chat.
  • Oversee and support card products for our customers, enhancing relationships through effective fraud management.
  • Schedule appointments for customers requiring in-person banking assistance.
  • Coordinate with teams and branches regarding appointments or follow-up needs for customers.
  • Stay informed about current rates for CDs, savings IRAs, and interest-bearing checking accounts.
  • Listen attentively to customer needs and recommend the most suitable solutions to help them achieve success.
  • Support the team with various office tasks as needed and when time permits.
  • Ensure accuracy and appropriateness in all completed work, verifying and validating data to confirm reliability, with a keen attention to detail.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Capability to prioritize and make immediate decisions regarding customer transactions, balancing customer satisfaction with the bank's risk exposure.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of our bank's products and services.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Educational Background

  • High School Diploma or GED is required; college education is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of banking experience is preferred.
