Quality Assurance Inspector

Position: DQR Inspector
Employment Type: Full-Time (1st Shift)
As a Designated Quality Representative (DQR), you will oversee the quality assurance processes for aerospace components. Your role will involve utilizing advanced inspection equipment to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, customer requirements, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct precise dimensional inspections using CMM, calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Perform thorough visual and dimensional assessments according to established procedures.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Engage in mandatory training and health evaluations.
- Execute physical tasks associated with the role, including standing, bending, and lifting materials up to 35 lbs.
- Maintain excellent attendance and be available for overtime as required.
- Report any workplace injuries or health concerns to your supervisor immediately.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing.
- Strong problem detection skills.
- AS13001 accreditation is required.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Standards, including ISO 9001 and AS 9100.
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T).
- Fluent in English, with strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Professional experience with general and precision measurement tools.
- Ability to interpret engineering blueprints.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Knowledge of tight tolerance requirements.
- Effective communication skills and self-discipline.
- Conduct inspections on first pieces, in-process, receiving, first article, and finished products.
- Exceptional visual inspection capabilities.
- Familiarity with AS9102 Form and First Article Inspection (FAI).
- Meet ASQR-01 eye examination standards.
