Position Overview: The Quality Inspector is responsible for conducting final inspections, in-process evaluations, and first article assessments. This role requires a thorough understanding of part specifications and the inspection methodologies utilized to support the manufacturing process and personnel, all while adhering to the Quality Policy and AS 9100 standards. The position reports directly to the Quality Manager and receives daily guidance from the Inspection Supervisor.

A $3,500 sign-on bonus is available for this role, payable on the first scheduled payroll following the start of employment. Should the employee leave the company for any reason within the first year, reimbursement of the sign-on bonus will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proficient understanding of blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T).
  • Skilled in the use of inspection instruments, including micrometers, indicators, and comparators.
  • Detail-oriented in completing all necessary documentation, including inspection reports.
  • Capable of creating mold casts to verify internal dimensions.
  • Ability to identify both dimensional and visual defects.
  • Understanding of customer specifications and requirements (PWA).
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
  • Experienced in conducting first article inspections, in-process evaluations, and final inspections.
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace specifications and requirements, particularly those related to Pratt and Whitney.
  • Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Familiarity with dimensional symbols.
  • Ability to detect visual defects.
  • Competence in using micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and both manual and DCC CMM.
  • Knowledge of various measuring tools.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as a team member.
  • Organized and detail-oriented approach to work.
  • Adherence to document control protocols.
  • Familiarity with different types of inspection reports.
  • General computer literacy.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
