Quality Assurance Inspector

Position: DQR Inspector
Employment Type: Full-Time (1st Shift)
Act as a Designated Quality Representative (DQR) for relevant customer products within the aerospace sector.
Accountable for the setup and inspection of aerospace components using CMM and bench plate tools. Components will be evaluated against engineering specifications, customer purchase orders, and industry standards. Previous experience in Aerospace Manufacturing is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct dimensional inspections on products utilizing CMM, calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Execute visual and dimensional inspections in accordance with established procedures.
- Adhere to all relevant safety regulations, policies, and procedures while ensuring a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Engage in mandatory training, medical monitoring, safety, and health evaluations.
- Perform all physical aspects of the role, including standing, bending, sitting, walking, twisting, kneeling, and lifting materials up to 35 lbs.
- Meet established attendance criteria.
- Work overtime as required.
- Report any work-related injuries or illnesses to your direct supervisor immediately.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Collaborate effectively with team members.
- Fulfill duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Complete additional tasks as necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing.
- Strong problem detection abilities.
- AS13001 accreditation is mandatory.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Standards such as ISO 9001 and AS 9100.
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T).
- Proficient in English reading, writing, and verbal communication.
- Professional use of general and precision measurement tools.
- Ability to interpret blueprints.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic and a positive demeanor.
- Working knowledge of tight tolerances.
- Effective communication skills and self-discipline.
- Conduct inspections on first piece, in-process, receiving, first article, and finished products.
- Exceptional visual inspection capabilities.
- Familiarity with AS9102 Form and First Article Inspection (FAI).
- Meet ASQR-01 eye examination standards.
