Lead Quality Assurance Inspector

Enjet Aero specializes in the machining and fabrication of intricate jet engine components, parts, and assemblies for top-tier OEMs across commercial, defense, and general aviation sectors. Role Summary: The Quality Control Inspector Lead will be responsible for conducting final inspections, in-process evaluations, and first article assessments. This role requires a thorough understanding of part specifications and inspection methodologies to support the manufacturing process and personnel, while strictly adhering to the Quality Policy and AS 9100 standards. The individual will guide fellow inspectors and provide direction, reporting directly to the Quality Manager.
Compensation: A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for this position, distributed over a three-year period, with the initial payment made on the first scheduled payroll following employment commencement. Should the employee leave the company within 12 months after a bonus installment, reimbursement will be required for that installment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strong comprehension of blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T).
- Proficient in utilizing inspection instruments, including micrometers, indicators, and comparators.
- Detail-oriented in completing all necessary documentation, including inspection reports.
- Capable of creating mold casts to verify internal dimensions.
- Adept at identifying both dimensional and visual defects.
- High accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
- Experienced in performing first article inspections, in-process evaluations, and final inspections.
- Possess extensive knowledge of aerospace specifications and requirements, particularly those related to Pratt and Whitney.
- Execute additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in interpreting blueprints.
- Strong understanding of dimensional symbols.
- Ability to detect visual defects.
- Skilled in reading micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and both manual and DCC CMM.
- Experienced with various measuring equipment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively as a team member.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Adhere to document control procedures.
- Experience with diverse inspection reports.
- Familiarity with Epicor is advantageous.
