Position Overview

Enjet Aero specializes in the machining and fabrication of intricate jet engine components and assemblies for prominent OEMs across commercial, defense, and general aviation industries. Our mission is to be recognized as an indispensable partner by our clients, achieved through consistently meeting production timelines and quality expectations.

Role Summary: The Quality Control Inspector Lead will be responsible for conducting final inspections, in-process evaluations, and first article assessments. This role requires a thorough understanding of part specifications and inspection methodologies to support the manufacturing process while complying with the Quality Policy and AS 9100 standards. The individual will guide fellow inspectors and provide direction, reporting directly to the Quality Manager.

Incentives: A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for this position, distributed over a three-year period, with the initial payment made on the first scheduled payroll following employment commencement. Should the employee leave the company within 12 months of any bonus installment, reimbursement of that installment will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong comprehension of blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T).
  • Utilize inspection tools effectively, including micrometers, indicators, and comparators.
  • Complete all necessary documentation, including inspection reports, with precision.
  • Conduct mold casts to verify internal dimensions.
  • Identify both dimensional and visual defects accurately.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Perform first article inspections, in-process evaluations, and final inspections proficiently.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of aerospace specifications and requirements, particularly those of Pratt and Whitney.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in blueprint interpretation.
  • Strong grasp of dimensional symbols.
  • Able to detect visual defects effectively.
  • Skilled in using micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and both manual and DCC CMM.
  • Experienced with various measuring instruments.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as a team member.
  • Organized and detail-oriented approach.
  • Adhere to document control protocols.
  • Familiarity with different inspection reports.
  • Experience with Epicor is advantageous.
