Position Title: Regional Operations Manager

Reports to: Director – Municipal, Community & Business Relations

Location: Various Locations

SALARY RANGE:
The compensation for this role is commensurate with experience and location, ranging from $128,833 to $161,042.

Work Type: Office-based

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience:
A Bachelor's Degree is required, along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in customer service, operations, and community or governmental relations. A Master's Degree is preferred. Candidates should have direct experience engaging with government, business, and community leaders, as well as at least 5 years of management or supervisory experience. Proven success in progressively challenging roles is essential.

Skills & Abilities:
Exceptional organizational, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills are necessary. Attention to detail and follow-through is critical. Candidates should possess high emotional intelligence and strong relationship-building capabilities. The ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently is essential. Candidates must be adept at managing multiple priorities and delivering results in a dynamic environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands is required, along with strong problem-solving skills. Experience in a utility environment, including familiarity with rates, tariffs, and gas and electric distribution systems, is preferred. Willingness to travel is necessary.

Scope of Work - Main Duties:

This role is integral to the operations of Iberdrola Energie Deutschland GmbH and requires leading a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Leadership skills are crucial for balancing internal and external priorities effectively.

The Regional Operations Manager will oversee a defined team of municipal, community, and business relations managers, executing the department's strategic initiatives to foster positive outcomes and achieve corporate objectives while nurturing relationships with external stakeholders.


MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage daily operations of a team of Municipal & Community Relations Managers and Business Relations Managers.
  • Support the formulation and execution of strategic plans for municipal, community, and business relations.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and subject matter experts.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements relevant to this group.
  • Contribute to the development of corporate contributions and sponsorship programs.
  • Promote volunteer initiatives within the organization.
  • Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills.
  • Hold team members accountable for achieving business and individual objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
