POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Business Operations Analyst collaborates closely with the Laboratory Operations Management Team (including the Vice President, Directors, Managers, and Supervisors) to conduct data analysis aimed at enhancing the organization's responsiveness, flexibility, and capacity to navigate ongoing changes through innovative solutions that promote high-quality, patient-centered operations.

This role serves as a key non-technical contributor, leveraging the service line's processes and tools to effectively oversee projects, activities, and initiatives that enhance efficiency for the engagement team while minimizing service delivery times to clients, all while upholding the highest quality standards.

QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, or a related field is required.
Proven expertise in data analysis and research is essential, along with a strong determination to resolve issues effectively. A passion for data, analysis, trends, and reporting is crucial.

Experience handling large datasets in a database environment and familiarity with business intelligence systems for query creation, troubleshooting complex datasets, and producing clear analyses is required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and/or SQL Developer is mandatory. Experience in generating flexible, repeatable, and concise reports in Excel that are highly automated is preferred.
Certifications in Microsoft Access, SQL, or Crystal Reports are advantageous.
A minimum of four years of experience in data analysis, report generation, and relational database functions is preferred.
Experience in healthcare related to Clinical Laboratory or Medical Diagnostic Billing is a plus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


• Provide critical information to facilitate effective business decisions, translating requirements into applications that utilize appropriate decision support and reporting tools.

• Assist in developing business cases, including generating business requirements and securing stakeholder approval to ensure alignment with business needs.

• Deliver analytical reports and consultative support to a diverse range of internal customer areas and external clients.

• Model data sources and flows, collaborating with data management staff to establish an operational framework that defines best practices, and develop and implement policies to ensure high-quality, cost-efficient operations.

• Acquire in-depth knowledge of laboratory service divisions to identify efficiencies and recommend improvements to service delivery.

• Cultivate and maintain internal relationships across the organization, working collaboratively with finance, business development, quality, information technology, and clinical trials teams as necessary to achieve organizational objectives.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

S - Sedentary Work - Involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally. Sedentary work typically involves sitting most of the time, with occasional walking or standing for brief periods.


CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
LPharm - Licensed Pharmacist - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

COMPENSATION RANGE:
$55,000 - $65,000.00
The stated base pay range represents a good faith estimate of potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be adjusted in the future based on various factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, and location.
